I was on the spectacular Big-Sur coast of California and walked into a tunnel under the highway to a vista point. Immediately the visual metaphor possibilities started flashing through my brain.
So, I lurked in the shadows in the tunnel, waiting for an unwary hiker to provide me with their very own ‘near-death experience’ as they walked "into the light" – at the end of the tunnel.
