About AmandaAmanda can be found ever pausing to notice the tiny fungus between tree roots, memorizing the sparkles of light dancing around from the sun shining on tiny flies, and feeling utterly enchanted by the flora and fauna that offers an entrance into the natural world. Since childhood, all Amanda wanted was to protect the lives of the wild species that have always been magical in her eyes. After studying Fishery and Wildlife Conservation at Oregon State, Amanda relocated to Hawai'i where a deep love of creativity and watercolors provided the opportunity to dive into creating nature inspired artwork. Inspiration for these paintings are found throughout Hawai'i from Amanda's own backyard to remote hikes where she loves to paint en plein air or snap reference photos for later studio work. She loves embracing the natural fluidity and spontaneity of watercolors while also highlighting a species' most intricate details. With a mission to spread the enchanting wonder of all species she hopes to help people slow down and take the time to notice the small details and the magic that nature provides right before our eyes. |
