Colin Redican

About Colin

Hawaii-born artist Colin Redican studied at The Art Institute of Chicago, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He has worked as a freelance artist on O’ahu since 1996 and his commissions–both residential and corporate–have taken him to the U.S. mainland and abroad.

Drawing, painting, and sculpture are the media that make up the core of his artistic background. From the large-scale murals to the intimate portraits, Colin’s works are recognized for his distinctive style and the quality of his work, irrespective of the project’s size. Colin’s most recent commission can be seen at the new Whole Foods in Kailua, where he created a large, 3-panel mural above the seafood department, the window graphics, as well as other design work throughout the store. Other commissions have included paintings for the Grand Waikikian, a new tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the 2011 & 2017 Buzz's Original Steak House Calendars, and a beautiful new original in the front entrance at Haleiwa Joe’s.

Colin’s studio is in his home in Kailua, on the windward side of Oahu, a place from which he draws inspiration from the area’s natural beauty and accesses Honolulu’s vibrant community of artists.
